About

An illustration of REACT Lab theme

The REACT Lab (Reactor Engineering and Analytics for Complex Transformations), led by Prof. Gorugantu, conducts research at the intersection of chemical reaction engineering, catalysis, and sustainability. We focus on developing fundamental insights into the conversion of mixed plastic waste and bio-based feedstocks into value-added products, as well as the remediation of persistent environmental contaminants into benign molecules. We integrate experimental and computational approaches to investigate complex, multiphase reaction networks. We collaborate across domains including polymer chemistry, catalysis, and systems engineering to address challenges in advancing sustainable and circular chemical manufacturing.
