About
The REACT Lab, led by Prof. Gorugantu, seeks to establish a fundamental understanding of the transformation of complex materials and feedstocks to enable their selective conversion into fuels, chemicals, and functional materials. We investigate how molecular structure, chemical heterogeneity, transport, and reaction environments govern pathway selection and product formation. Our work spans synthetic and biogenic polymers, heterogeneous mixtures, and complex liquid feeds, with the goal of developing transferable reaction-engineering principles across different material systems, through an integrated experimental and computational approach.
